Job Title: Manager, Pressure Equipment Services
Location: Calgary/Bonnyville/Cold Lake or Grande Prairie
POSITION OVERVIEW
Group 10 Engineering Ltd. is actively seeking to hire a Pressure Equipment professional to be on the ground floor of a growing asset integrity, and materials engineering company. The successful candidate will form part of our leadership team and act as Chief Inspector for our Approved Quality Program (AQP) with autonomy to grow our Pressure Equipment Services business unit including future field locations.
The successful candidate will be rewarded based on salary and performance-based growth and safety targets. We believe that this position will be a significant part of Group 10's growth and has significant synergy with our Pipeline Integrity services and Materials and Corrosion Testing Services. Reporting to the President of Group 10, the Pressure Equipment Services Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of this division from personnel, client interactions, field office locations and day to day pressure equipment support for our clients. Equipment responsibilities include boilers, pressure vessels, pressure relief devices, piping, and tanks. The physical location of this position will be in Calgary, Bonnyville, Cold Lake or Grande Prairie and will be determined in conjunction with the successful candidate.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage Group 10’s Clients’ Pressure Equipment Integrity Programs acting as Chief Inspector.

Perform and/or coordinate staff/contractors to execute internal and external inspections including NDT and support coordination of our high temperature damage mechanisms assessment services.

Support our AlignCore Asset Management (Enterprise) software to ensure client satisfaction through our internal support group.

Ensure prompt response to client needs and ensure accurate, practical, and cost-effective solutions.

Develop & update inspection plans and set interval requirements that optimizes downtime reduction.

Stewardship of Group 10’s AQP, perform internal conformance reviews, and support regulatory and vendor audits.

Work with provincial regulators to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance.

Responsible for accurate asset inventories & operating status’ within Group 10 & regulatory databases.

Provide recommendations, and coordinate field activities for repairs and alterations.

Provide technical inspection assistance to engineering and construction teams.
-
Remain up to date and knowledgeable on all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

Review and action summaries of inspection and NDE findings, provide recommendations and develop repair plans for pressure equipment.

Provide QA oversite for pressure equipment repairs and alterations. Perform inspection and verifications in accordance with the requirements of inspection test plans.

Strong commitment to safety and work management systems.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

We require someone with a high attention to detail with leadership skills and an entrepreneurial spirit that will help to create opportunities for Group 10 and for the candidate.

The successful candidate must be motivated to represent Group 10 at industry functions and on industry committees while balancing managing and running the day-to-day business.

8+ years of experience as a pressure equipment inspector and 5 years of experience completing in-field inspections.
-
A diploma or degree in welding, materials, mechanical or equivalent.
-
Previous people management experience.
-
Standard oil and gas safety tickets.
-
The successful candidate will have the following certifications:
-
ISI-BPVPP (Alberta)
-
LPEI (Saskatchewan)
-
API 510, and preference given to 570 and 653 Inspector Certifications
-
ABSA Inservice Inspector Certification
-
Working knowledge of applicable industry codes such as CSA B51, ASME, National Board and API.
-
Working knowledge of materials and processing, welding procedures, processes, NDE techniques and damage mechanisms.

Ideally the candidate will have experience with upstream oil and gas facilities and operators.
